I want to write someone's book.

1. Sponsor

The contest is sponsored and administered by Benjamin Frazier / Frazier's Books, San Antonio, Texas, United States ("Sponsor").

Questions regarding the contest may be submitted through the contact page at fraziersbooks.com/contact.html .

2. Contest Period

The contest begins on August 7, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. Central Time and ends on September 30, 2026 at 12:00 a.m. Central Time ("Contest Period").

Entries submitted before or after the Contest Period are not eligible. Sponsor's records and Facebook's displayed posting information, where applicable, will determine the time an entry was received.

3. Eligibility

The contest is open to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia who are at least 18 years old at the time of entry.

Employees, contractors, and members of the immediate family or household of the Sponsor are not eligible to enter.

The contest is void where prohibited or restricted by law.

4. No Purchase Necessary

No purchase or payment of any kind is necessary to enter or win.

Purchasing a book or service from Benjamin Frazier or Frazier's Books will not increase an entrant's chances of winning.

Following, liking, sharing, subscribing, tagging friends, joining an email list, or taking any other promotional action is not required to enter and will not improve an entrant's chances of winning.

5. How to Enter

During the Contest Period, an eligible entrant may submit an entry by commenting on the official Facebook contest post and describing, in 100 words or fewer, the book they would like to create.

Limit one entry per person.

Multiple comments, duplicate Facebook profiles, alternate accounts, automated entries, bots, scripts, or other attempts to obtain additional entries may result in disqualification.

An entrant may edit their comment during the Contest Period. The version appearing when the Contest Period closes will be considered the entrant's final submission.

6. Entry Requirements

Each entry must describe an original book idea that the entrant has the legal right to submit.

Entries may propose fiction or nonfiction.

Entries must not:

• Infringe another person's copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other legal rights.
• Plagiarize or knowingly copy another author's work.
• Include unlawful threats, harassment, or defamatory material.
• Request assistance creating material that would be unlawful to create or publish.
• Include private or confidential information about another person that the entrant does not have permission to disclose.
• Contain material that violates Facebook's applicable rules or Community Standards.

Sponsor may disqualify an entry that Sponsor reasonably believes violates these requirements.

7. Ownership of Entries

Entrants retain ownership of their original contest submissions, story ideas, personal experiences, source materials, and other intellectual property they owned before entering.

Entering this contest does not transfer ownership of an entrant's book idea to the Sponsor.

Entrants grant Sponsor a limited, non-exclusive right to review, reproduce internally, and evaluate their entry solely for administration and judging of the contest.

Because general concepts, themes, genres, and book ideas can be similar, entrants acknowledge that Sponsor may have previously created, received, or later create material containing ideas or themes similar to those appearing in an entry.

8. Judging and Winner Selection

This is a judged contest. The winner will not be selected randomly.

Eligible entries will be evaluated by Benjamin Frazier and, if Sponsor chooses, additional judges selected by Sponsor.

Entries will be evaluated using the following criteria:

• Originality and strength of the concept — 40%
• Potential to become a compelling completed book — 35%
• Feasibility of completing the project within the contest's scope — 25%

The eligible entry receiving the highest overall evaluation will be selected as the potential winner.

In the event of a tie, the entry receiving the higher score for originality and strength of concept will prevail.

Sponsor's decisions regarding eligibility, judging, interpretation of these Official Rules, and winner selection are final, subject to applicable law.

9. Winner Notification

The potential winner is expected to be selected and publicly announced on or before October 15, 2026.

Sponsor may contact the potential winner through Facebook and/or another contact method provided by the entrant after selection.

The potential winner must respond within seven calendar days of Sponsor's first attempt to contact them.

Sponsor may require reasonable verification of identity, age, residency, eligibility, and ownership or authority relating to submitted material.

If a potential winner cannot be contacted, fails to respond, is found ineligible, refuses the prize, or fails to complete requested eligibility documentation, Sponsor may select the next highest-scoring eligible entry.

10. Prize

One winner will receive a collaborative ghostwriting/book-writing project with Benjamin Frazier resulting in a completed manuscript of up to 60,000 words.

The prize is expected to include:

• Planning and development of the winning book concept.
• Interviews or working sessions reasonably necessary to create the manuscript.
• Writing of a completed manuscript of up to 60,000 words.
• Reasonable revision and collaboration during the writing process.
• Final delivery of the completed manuscript in a commonly used digital document format.
• General instructions for self-publishing the completed manuscript through Amazon KDP or another publishing service chosen by the winner.

Approximate Retail Value ("ARV") of the prize: $7500.

The prize has no cash alternative and may not be sold, transferred, or assigned to another person before completion without Sponsor's written permission.

11. What Is Not Included

Unless Sponsor and winner separately agree in writing, the prize does not include:

• Publishing fees or platform fees.
• ISBN purchases.
• Copyright registration fees.
• Paid advertising or marketing campaigns.
• Book-cover design.
• Audiobook production.
• Printing or purchasing physical copies.
• Literary-agent representation.
• Submission to traditional publishers.
• Legal, tax, accounting, or financial advice.
• A guarantee of publication acceptance, book sales, reviews, rankings, royalties, income, or commercial success.

12. Working With the Winner

The winner must reasonably participate in the creation of the book, including interviews, answering questions, providing requested background information, reviewing drafts, and providing feedback.

Sponsor and winner will agree on a reasonable project schedule after the winner is confirmed.

The goal is to complete the manuscript within approximately six months after the project begins, but the exact schedule may change depending on the complexity of the book, availability of source material, revisions, and the winner's responsiveness.

If the winner repeatedly fails to participate or becomes unresponsive for more than 30 consecutive days after reasonable attempts to contact them, Sponsor may pause or terminate the project.

13. Rights to the Finished Manuscript

Upon final completion and delivery of the manuscript, the winner will receive ownership of Sponsor's copyrightable interest in the final manuscript created specifically for the winner under this contest.

The winner may publish, revise, adapt, distribute, license, sell, or otherwise use the completed manuscript as the winner chooses, subject to any rights belonging to third parties.

Sponsor will execute reasonable written documentation confirming transfer or assignment of Sponsor's copyright interest in the final manuscript if necessary.

The winner remains responsible for ensuring that information, photographs, quotations, documents, trademarks, names, stories, or other third-party material supplied by the winner may legally be included in the finished book.

14. Nonfiction and Real People

A nonfiction winner may be required to substantiate factual claims or remove or revise material that creates a substantial concern involving defamation, privacy, confidentiality, copyright, or another person's legal rights.

Sponsor is not required to include material that Sponsor reasonably believes could expose Sponsor or the winner to legal liability.

When appropriate, the winner may be encouraged to have the finished manuscript independently reviewed by a qualified attorney before publication.

15. Taxes

The winner is solely responsible for any federal, state, or local taxes associated with receipt of the prize.

Sponsor may require the winner to provide information or complete tax documentation required by applicable law before the prize is awarded or completed.

16. Publicity

Except where prohibited by law, by accepting the prize the winner agrees that Sponsor may publicly identify the winner by name and announce that the winner was selected in the contest.

Any additional use of the winner's photograph, likeness, personal story, interviews, manuscript excerpts, or behind-the-scenes material for promotional purposes will be discussed with the winner and handled subject to applicable law and any additional permissions reasonably required.

17. Conduct and Disqualification

Sponsor may disqualify an entrant who attempts to tamper with the entry or judging process, impersonates another person, uses multiple identities to enter, submits fraudulent information, harasses other entrants, or otherwise violates these Official Rules.

18. Technical Problems

Sponsor is not responsible for entries that are lost, deleted, delayed, inaccessible, corrupted, incorrectly posted, or otherwise unavailable because of internet, Facebook, hardware, software, account, or other technical problems outside Sponsor's reasonable control.

If the official contest post or Sponsor's Facebook account becomes unavailable through no fault of entrants, Sponsor may provide reasonable instructions for continuing, modifying, suspending, or completing the contest in a fair manner consistent with applicable law.

19. Modification or Cancellation

Sponsor reserves the right, to the extent permitted by law, to suspend, modify, or cancel the contest if fraud, technical failure, platform disruption, legal requirements, events outside Sponsor's reasonable control, or other circumstances materially interfere with the integrity or lawful administration of the contest.

Sponsor will not modify the contest merely to avoid awarding the prize after eligible entries have been received.

20. Release and Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, entrants agree to release and hold harmless Sponsor and Sponsor's agents, contractors, and representatives from claims arising directly from participation in the contest or acceptance or use of the prize, except to the extent such liability cannot legally be waived.

Nothing in these Official Rules is intended to waive rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be waived.

21. Facebook Disclaimer and Release

This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook or Meta.

By entering, each entrant acknowledges that the contest is being administered by Benjamin Frazier / Frazier's Books and not by Facebook.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, each entrant releases Facebook and Meta Platforms, Inc. from any claims or liability arising from or related to participation in this contest.

Information submitted in connection with this contest is being provided to the Sponsor and not to Facebook.

22. Privacy

Sponsor will use information submitted in connection with the contest for contest administration, judging, winner verification, prize fulfillment, and communications reasonably related to the contest.

Entering the contest does not automatically subscribe an entrant to an email marketing list.

23. Governing Law

To the extent permitted by law, this contest and these Official Rules will be governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

24. Acceptance of Rules

By submitting an entry, each entrant confirms that they have read, understood, and agree to these Official Rules.
